He Ain't Heavy ...........

He's my brother!!

Yep, we adopted the little fella. Mom and dad couldn't resist his cuteness. And I've decided he's pretty fun to have around. Look, he even resembles me :)

Mom keeps telling me what a good big brother I am. I've been very patient with him and I'm trying to teach him all the ropes. Sometimes we just hang in the backyard.

Here I'm showing him how to find and play with squirrels. Course when he's big I don't know that I want that competition, will see what happens I suppose.

Ramsey's favorite place to play is under our boy's slide. He makes me laugh because he's always trying to mimic me. I show my big teeth and he shows his tiny teeth.

My favorite game is running around the yard with a toy and having him chase me. He's pretty fast but I'm faster and I'm sneakier!

Tug is fun too but sometimes I get yelled at. Mom says I get too excited and carried away and I, by accident, fling little Ramsey into the air and into furniture....oops! Usually I'm gentle but sometimes I forget and shake my head a bit too hard. But it doesn't seem to bother my brother, he comes right back for more.

What in the world did I do before Ramsey came into my life?? I'm sure happy he's my brother.

What Was Mom Thinking ? !

Sorry I've been absent so long. Just really haven't had anything to write about, but now I do. Mom has become a volunteer with OK Airedale Rescue. She was always going to the kennel and letting Lilly & Crockett out to play. Well last Thursday someone dropped off an 8 WEEK old airedale pup at an agriculture store saying they didn't want him. Mom immediately jumped up saying she'd foster him!! WHAT?! So last Thursday Ramsey started living with us. I immediately gave him kisses.

I thought he'd be like a stuffie :) I was a bit wrong, this stuffie has shark like teeth....yikes!! So I'm showing him how BIG my pointy white teeth are. Think I scared him for one millisecond.

He has a really sweet looking face, but don't let that fool you. I have to watch him every second and when I want to scold him, he just looks up at me with those puppy eyes. What's a big guy like me to do?

Mom keeps telling me I'm a good boy but I shouldn't be so rough. Hmmm, what does she mean by that I wonder? I'm just playing, afterall, I'm still a puppy myself at 18 months. She says I don't realize how big and strong I am. So is she complimenting me, saying I'm big and strong?

Just look at how patient I can be with this rambunctious pup as he bites(with those shark teeth mind you) my lip!!

Molly girl on the other hand has no patience with Ramsey. She is a crabby old lady at the age of 15 1/2 and wants none of his nonsense. Those two go after it all the time and I grab a toy and try to break it up. Molly only likes him when he is asleep.

So.....mom had Frances put Ramsey on Petfinder. I hope someone adopts him soon because the longer he stays here the more in love I'll be with that little guy. I know mom is already very attached to him and cried when she put his pictures on Petfinder. He's a cute little guy who has rocked my world.

Sneaky

Mom thinks it is so amazing how quiet and sneaky a big airedale can be. I kinda surprise myself. I have three charms on my collar, big feet and walk on wood floors. But when I want to sneak into something, I'm almost like a ghost figure. I have an obsession with tags and stuffies. I know where there are alot of them hiding.

Right up there, on top of this tall bed. My boy likes stuffies as well. Mom caught on and started burrying his stuffies under the covers and then tucking those covers under the mattress. Well I wasn't gonna let her win. I had my strategy all planned out. I know how engrossed mom gets when sitting in front of this computer. Quietly I sneak right past the room she is in and creep up on that tall bed. I then proceed to pull down the covers. Woohoo....stuffies! I slide, yes, litterally slide off the bed (I'm not a jumper) and walk past mom again and proceed to take the stuffies into the family room. Guess what I do? I pull the tags off!! I bet alot of you think I'm silly for not going for the stuffing, but those tags just do it for me.

I just chew on them a bit. I don't destroy my boys' stuffies. In fact, when he comes home from school, I greet him proudly at the door with one :)
Mom went and bought me a new stuffless stuffie. What in the world?

Mom, it doesn't have any tags!!

Was very sweet of her to buy a new toy, but you know what, I'd like a bag full of tags better.

whaa ha ha, I just snuck in here and took both of her shoes without her knowing it!! They were sitting right next to the chair she is sitting in. Am I good or what?

Rudy

OK Airedale Rescue

I was rescued by OK Airedale Rescue back in July. I am so very thankful for that group of people, they are aire angels. They found me the best home ever. Right before our big snow storm here in Oklahoma, they rescued 3 airedales from a puppy mill. Pearl is 7 years and just gave birth to 12 puppies Tuesday(the last little boy born died last night, they named him Jonah). Lilly is her daughter and is 5 years old. She is going to have babies later this month. And Crockett, he's the daddy of all the puppies. So as you can imagine, the rescue group is very, very busy and racking up the bills. Mom has tried to attach the link, but doesn't know how. Heehee I have to laugh at her sometimes, she doesn't know alot about computers. Guess I'm gonna have to get my paws on the keys soon to help.
Mom got to meet the new rescues on Tuesday. She said they are all very sweet, but extremely frightened. They lived their entire lives in cages. That is just so sad. Breaks my dale heart. They don't have any front teeth and their big pointy incisor teeth are just nubs. They chewed and chewed on those darn cages trying to get free!!

This is extremely pregnant and precious Lilly.

This is the very handsome Crockett. His colors were so pretty mom said. Mom said he stayed in that position for 3 hours.

This is Pearl. Mom was there when she had some of her puppies! Mom said Pearl just looked so sad and worn out.

Those eyes say it all :(

This is the link to their official page~~http://alldogssite.com/paradepearllillycrockett1.html
Now the Tulsa Trio (it's what they've been called) and their pups have a chance at life, to run in the grass, to be loved and petted, be told they are beautiful....and to make their new forever families complete!

As for me....I'm still playing in the snow. We got another 6 inches yesterday. My boy hasn't had school since February 1, how crazy is that? They freak out down here when it snows. Oh and mom, she loves that phrase butt tuck run. She never heard it before.

More S N O W !

While this snow is fun to romp around in....I'm kinda wishing it would go away!! I'm missing my two daily walks with mom. It's too hard for her to walk in this much snow and no plows can be seen anywhere around. The sun did poke out a bit and mom took this picture of something she calls a sun dog. You ever heard of that? She says they are ice crystals in high and cold cirrus clouds. See I got some schooling in....haha. I like this kind of school much better than that one with all the other furry friends and people commanding us to perform for them.

Speaking of school....it was closed this week!! I can thank all the snow for that.

But enough already!! It's snowing again today. It's not suppose to do this in this part of the country. Another 4 or 5 inches on top of the 14 that is on the ground.

My friend Notch hasn't been around lately. I keep looking for him to play with. Probably too hard for that little guy to get around.

Oh, I see some movement up the tree! Could it be?

Snow snow go away, come again another day....a day far far from now(that is the song mom is singing). Wish she enjoyed romping in it like I do~

Happenings

Last week mom kept telling me I was gonna go to school. "Cool", I thought "I'm gonna get to go to school with my boy!". Just thinking about that made me so excited. So Thursday rolled around and mom says let's go to school. I hop in that car expecting to see my boy but I was wrong :( She pulls into a place called K9 Manners.

My tail went down and I got all nervous. It did get better because~~ I got lots of treats! All the other furry ones there were listening and sitting quietly, I wouldn't sit or lay while the other performed. Nope, I wanted to pounce and play with them.

The 'teacher' dropped some fun things on the floor like glasses, kleenex, shoes...and I was thinking "hmmm, it's play time!!" NO again!! It was a trick. We had to go around and NOT pick them up. Now what is that all about?

AND TODAY~~~~~~~~~~~~~It's snowing again! But, I think I kept my paws crossed to hard and long because it won't stop snowing! It's very deep and they are calling it a blizzard. A blizzard in Tulsa Oklahoma, that is crazy! But I'm loving it :)

Just look at the joy on my face!

I couldn't stay out too long, the windchill is minus 10 and that is cold! I had to come in and get all dried off.

Gonna take a nice long nap now. Running in that white stuff is hard work.

Homework

You all know I have boy, he is 11 years old and goes to school all day long. Wish he could just stay home and play. I really, really, really love playing with him, especially outside. We play fetch and chase each other around til we're both out of breath. Because I love playing with him so very much, I tried to make more time for that. I spotted these cards on the table with his hand writing. Well I knew that was something we weren't gonna get to do together so I snatched them up, heehee.

But I left evidence on the floor. The dog actually ate the homework!! Mom wasn't very pleased, but thankfully the dear sweet teacher my boy has thought it was FUNNY...whew, what a break for me.
I'm sorry!! But...I cannot say it won't happen again ;)

SNOW!

Guess what? It finally snowed here!! I kept seeing the fun you all have been having in the snow where you live so I was keeping my paws crossed for some to fall here. When mom first opened the door, I backed away and refused to put my paws in that white stuff. Sweet momma didn't force me, she just closed the door and waited for me to build up courage. I layed around thinking about it, and walked up to the back door and rang the bell (mom has bells hanging from the handle that I push around with my nose letting her know I want out).

Whoa, what is this stuff?!! It's like fairy dust and makes me run even faster. I was speeding around that yard like a crazy dude.
Here's some more pictures of me having fun in my first snow!

Until next time~~~
