OK Airedale Rescue

I was rescued by OK Airedale Rescue back in July. I am so very thankful for that group of people, they are aire angels. They found me the best home ever. Right before our big snow storm here in Oklahoma, they rescued 3 airedales from a puppy mill. Pearl is 7 years and just gave birth to 12 puppies Tuesday(the last little boy born died last night, they named him Jonah). Lilly is her daughter and is 5 years old. She is going to have babies later this month. And Crockett, he's the daddy of all the puppies. So as you can imagine, the rescue group is very, very busy and racking up the bills. Mom has tried to attach the link, but doesn't know how. Heehee I have to laugh at her sometimes, she doesn't know alot about computers. Guess I'm gonna have to get my paws on the keys soon to help.
Mom got to meet the new rescues on Tuesday. She said they are all very sweet, but extremely frightened. They lived their entire lives in cages. That is just so sad. Breaks my dale heart. They don't have any front teeth and their big pointy incisor teeth are just nubs. They chewed and chewed on those darn cages trying to get free!!

This is extremely pregnant and precious Lilly.

This is the very handsome Crockett. His colors were so pretty mom said. Mom said he stayed in that position for 3 hours.

This is Pearl. Mom was there when she had some of her puppies! Mom said Pearl just looked so sad and worn out.

Those eyes say it all :(

This is the link to their official page~~http://alldogssite.com/paradepearllillycrockett1.html
Now the Tulsa Trio (it's what they've been called) and their pups have a chance at life, to run in the grass, to be loved and petted, be told they are beautiful....and to make their new forever families complete!

As for me....I'm still playing in the snow. We got another 6 inches yesterday. My boy hasn't had school since February 1, how crazy is that? They freak out down here when it snows. Oh and mom, she loves that phrase butt tuck run. She never heard it before.

  1. Isn't that the most heart-wrenching story... We would love to kill the guy that kept them that way...We are proud sponsors of those Dales and admire the people at OK shelter for their work. Thank Dog, there are angels out there...

  3. Thank you for helping those Dales. What happened to the puppy mill? Did it get shut down for good? This has to stop.
Thank you again for bringing this story to the world and helping the dogs.

  4. The Airedales were the last of the mill dogs.
There were some mixes hanging around, but they weren't "breeding stock". You're right Wyatt and Stanzie it HAS to stop!

  7. I hope that some of Pearl and Lilly's babies come through ATRA territory so that I can transport AirePurps! I made a donation through National Airedale Rescue for their care.

There is a puppymiller in the town where I live who bred Airedales and simply let them go in the woods when he didn't want them anymore. That's how I became a rescuer, by saving his unwanted breeding stock from the kill shelter and getting them to ATRA. The last of his Airedales, who I sent a friend to purchase undercover last summer, now lives in an ATRA-approved home in Minnesota.

Thank you for getting the word out about your fellow OKAR RescueDales!

  8. Thanks for reporting about those puppies. The stories and photos are heartbreaking but the more people who are aware, the better chance we have of stopping puppy mills. You can always Google National Airedale Rescue to find a list of regional groups and their contact people.

  10. Hey Rudy. We heard about the Tulsa Trio on fb. We asked D if we could help out with a donation and she said yes. We hope that they will all be as lucky as you and end up in a loving home :)

  11. Rudy. We wanted to stop by and say "hi" and to let you know that we are looking forward to sorta catching up and having time to get to know you LOTS better. We can't remember if you know, or not, but we were both puppy mill breeders ... now rescued. And one of our Rescue Angels is really wanting another 'dale someday. (She wants a double digit 'dale, but just might be interested in a breeder girl. She "gets it" and knows just what it's like to rehome us type.

Anyhow ... we're so happy to know you. And your OK rescue group.

We'll be back ... thanks for sticking with us during our long Hi Ate Us.

    Love

  12. We made Moma come back to read this post. We're runnin' behind again. And she remembered, as painful it is, how important this post was. Breaks her heart, it does, to realize the conditions the mill breeders come from. It's too familiar.

Anyhow ... we're hoping those puppies are growing and plans are being made for the Tulsa Trio. When is the other litter due?

Sigh. So sad. But so hopeful for a better future.

    Much love

Pearl had her puppies and all 10 are adopted and will be going to their forever homes next week. Pearl I think will be adopted by a retired couple. Crockett and Lilly are here in Tulsa, staying at a kennel. Mom goes to visit them and play with them. Sometimes I go walking with them!! They are beautiful and so sweet. Lilly lost her puppies :( It was very sad. Think her body just couldn't do it anymore. I really hope Lilly and Crockett find the best homes ever!!!
Oh and guess what``MOM is a volunteer now for OK Airedale Rescue :))
