Homework

You all know I have boy, he is 11 years old and goes to school all day long. Wish he could just stay home and play. I really, really, really love playing with him, especially outside. We play fetch and chase each other around til we're both out of breath. Because I love playing with him so very much, I tried to make more time for that. I spotted these cards on the table with his hand writing. Well I knew that was something we weren't gonna get to do together so I snatched them up, heehee.

But I left evidence on the floor. The dog actually ate the homework!! Mom wasn't very pleased, but thankfully the dear sweet teacher my boy has thought it was FUNNY...whew, what a break for me.
I'm sorry!! But...I cannot say it won't happen again ;)

SNOW!

Guess what? It finally snowed here!! I kept seeing the fun you all have been having in the snow where you live so I was keeping my paws crossed for some to fall here. When mom first opened the door, I backed away and refused to put my paws in that white stuff. Sweet momma didn't force me, she just closed the door and waited for me to build up courage. I layed around thinking about it, and walked up to the back door and rang the bell (mom has bells hanging from the handle that I push around with my nose letting her know I want out).

Whoa, what is this stuff?!! It's like fairy dust and makes me run even faster. I was speeding around that yard like a crazy dude.
Here's some more pictures of me having fun in my first snow!

Until next time~~~

Peculiar Playmate

I have a little playmate, his name is Notch II. We don't know what happened to Notch I, he was mom's favorite. Anyway, this guy comes calling every day, several times a day. Notch II will chatter loudly and flash his furry tail until I come out to play!! I know, it's the strangest thing. As you can see from the above photos, he doesn't feel threatened at all.....I mean my fierce loud bark doesn't scare him! Can you imagine? He knows I'm just playing cuz my stubby tail just goes a mile a minute. I do have lil' Molly girl in the house, but she is 15 years old and doesn't want to play, she sleeps most of her days!
When Notch II comes calling, mom lets me out. I cannot contain my excitement! Notch comes down the tree just out of my reach and he watches in amazement at my jumps. I think I entertain him.

He runs around the tree and so of course I do too. Then he goes up high on the branches and I continue to jump and spin in circles. He goes from tree to tree...and so do I. I mean it is crazy fun!

Just watching him up there on that branch hoping soon he'll come back down.

Play time is over, but I know my buddy will be back soon.

Dog's Ten Commandments

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely

to be painful.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.

4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment.

You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only

you.

5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand

your voice when speaking to me.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.

7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt

you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.

8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if

something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right

food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting

old or weak.

9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.

10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you

can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is

easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.

I know mom, dad and my boy won't break any of these commandments! I'm such a lucky fella.
